The
body as the gateway to relaxation
A calming, healing, harmonizing experience which leaves the
individual with a sense of tranquillity and well being. A first
consultation will often determine the individual’s precise needs.
A complete course will allow body and mind to unwind, revitalize
and assist in any healing process as well as preventative care.
Deep
Tissue – Neuromuscular Massage
If you’ve been overdoing it in the gym or through strenuous
work commitments, this could be the ideal treatment for you.
This massage penetrates deep into the muscle tissue, going beyond
the exterior layers of the muscle to resolve any points of tension.
For pain relief, NMT is a special deep tissue massage technique
to help relieve pain. Although it works at a deep level to relieve
tightness, muscular tension and pain, scar tissue in the muscles
it is NOT painful but “hurts so good”.
Hot
Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a form of thermal hydro-therapy. Using
smooth, warmed, heat-retaining stones as extensions of the hands,
clients receiving a well-administered hot stone massage will
seek it again and again. For some, stone therapy brings unrivaled
deep tissue release and alignment. For others, the heat of the
stones gently softens muscular tension and melts away emotional
stress. On a spiritual plane, the stones are from the earth
and have an extremely grounding quality adored by many. Grounding
can be very helpful to individuals struggling with issues related
to sleep, headaches, dizziness, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed
or scattered.
The heat
of the stones, combined with the soothing gliding massage movements,
warms and relaxes the muscles to a much greater extent than
what can be achieved by massage alone.
Sports
Massage
Anyone who exercises on a regular basis could benefit from this
treatment. The main purpose of sports massage therapy is to
help alleviate the stress and tension, which builds up in the
body’s soft tissues during physical activity.
Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion
and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively.
The massage will help to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling,
to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility, to prevent
injuries and, in the case of sports people, prepare for peak
performance. Sports massage can help prevent those niggling
injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement,
whether a person is an athlete, a once a week jogger or just
physically active.
Manual
Lymphatic Drainage
A feather light massage designed to activate the lymphatic system,
has proven successful in the case of stagnation of lymph flow.
This smooth and harmonious massage helps remove painful swelling
and promote healing. Massage can be done post surgery upon the
referral of a physician. Effective for cosmetic surgery, blepharoplasty,
rhinoplasty and lymph node removal.

illness.

thai massage
This unique form of massage (also known as yoga massage) has
been handed down through centuries. Based on the application
of pressure along the energy lines of the body, together with
stretching of muscles, this massage stimulates energy flow and
eases muscles, replacing tension and stress with a feeling of
energy and peace. Thai massage is performed on a clothed body
on the mat on the floor rather than on a raised table, the therapist
uses her hands, feet and elbows. I recommend you wear a T shirt
and shorts.
Thai
hot herbal massage

Barefoot
Massage- Chavuti Thai
Is a new and luxurious form of deep tissue body massage performed
with the feet. Barefoot massage has been practiced in Asia for
over 3,000 years and it evolved through Tibet, China, Thailand
and Japan. This is a full body oil massage which begins with
Traditional Thai twists and stretches design to open and relax
your body. The therapist then holds onto a rope suspended above
their head and applies warm therapeutic oil with bare feet using
long deep rhythmical strokes. During a session the charka and
meridian lines in the body are massaged releasing blocked energy
making you feel light and refreshed and energezied.
This facilitates a deep muscle flush, deeper relaxation of the
muscles and nervous system, release of lactic acid and metabolic
waste at deeper levels than table massage, release of deep trigger
points (hyper-irritable muscle spots), and deep adhesions that
impair full muscle range and function.
In the case
of Chavutti Thirumal a recommended commitment is for a ten session
treatment plan. If one can organise it, a once a day for ten
days plan makes an extraordinarily effective cleansing, energising
and revitalising regime and if combined with appropriate diet
can feel as if you have just returned from a month's holiday
in paradise!
